Missing Cornbread, making a website

Cornbread died on January 19th, 2023.

I wrote those same words in another text file ~10 months ago. Then, even writing this one sentence was enough to produce a horrible, grasping feeling of grief in my chest. It felt like I was standing on the edge of some vast gulf - if I stayed too long, investigating, I would get trapped forever.

I wish I could say this was my inspiring attempt to feel my feelings and process my grief but I'm not sure. I've been doing a little bit of scripting & thought making a website would be a fun project.

This is version 2(ish) of cornbread.info. Originally, I made a website using the Hugo static site generator, which was a bit beyond my technical ability but I eventually made it work. I wasn't 100% happy with the layout, though, and when I stumbled upon this html template, I decided to return to my 2000s-teenager roots and keep it manual until it hurts.
